ESB (Extra Special Bitter)
Oh yes, it really IS extra special!
Alternatively known as English-style Bitter, we stuck with the above moniker so we didn’t freak anyone out by leading them to believe it’s imported or any such balderdash. This is the Diamond Knot beer that comes closest to an “Amber,” because we don’t do one of those (‘Amber’ is a color or a girl I knew in High School, NOT a beer, IMHO).
Lots of caramely malts and a very special <wink wink> ESB malt give this beer a deep and complex bready flavor while the hops add a touch of bitterness to compliment the malts.
The nitty-gritty, for all you beer nerds:
Original Gravity: 13.25° Plato; 1.053
Alcohol by Volume: 6.0%
MALTS: 2-row Pale, Chocolate Malt, Caramel and ESB
HOPS: Galena and Willamette
